Thanks to your feedback, I have made changes to the flow of the newsletter. Would you let me know how it works?

You can share this newsletter on WhatsApp, Twitter, LinkedIn or view it on the web.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU...

Good morning, Class!
Welcome to today.
So, tell me, what is the first thing you all do, when you wake up?

"Drink water"
Yes. Drinking water is a good thing. Even warikoo does that. Such a sweet boy. No, not you! warikoo.
OK, what else?

"Susu"
Yes. Going to the toilet. Or washroom, as some firangs call it! What the hell does washroom even mean? Anyway, toilet. That's legit.
What else?

"Say a prayer."
Beautiful. Say a prayer. Or anything, to just express your gratitude. Lovely thoughts.
What else?

"Brush my teeth"
AWESOME! Brush your teeth. Such a great thing to do, my child. All the germs in our mouth - you go dishum dishum on them with your toothbrush and toothpaste.
"Yes ma'am. And mere toothpaste mein namak bhi hai"
Ummm. OK, whatever!
What else?

"Check my phone"
Satyanaash ho iss generation ka! Check your phone for what? Huh? Watch nachi nachi snake dance with mall trolleys on Instagram? Huh?
NONSENSE!
Anybody else?

"Read a book."
Lovely. That is so awesome. Love it. Reading the first thing is so smart.
What else?

"Check my crypto investments"
(Facepalms) Hey mere bhagwaan! This generation and crypto. One day all of this is going down really bad.
Anybody else who does something saner?

"Wish myself 'good morning!'"
Sorry? Say that again?
"I wish myself good morning."
You wish yourself good morning? Very unusual. Tell us more...

"I wake up, go to the bathroom, stand in front of the mirror, smile, and wish myself good morning."
You smile in the mirror?
"Yes ma'am. I smile in the mirror?"
And you have been doing this for how long?
"Ever since I can remember."

Tears begin to roll down the teacher's eyes.
She remembers that she used to do the same.
Everyday.

Until one day, she stopped.
And then she never did it again!

Who told you to do it?
"My mom."
What did she tell you?
"That - if you do not love yourself, how do you expect anyone else to love you?"

When was the last time you smiled in the mirror?

BOOK I AM READING THIS WEEK

This week I picked up
The Code of the Extraordinary Mind : 10 Unconventional Laws to Redefine Your Life and Succeed on Your Own Terms

This book is By Vishen, who is the founder of MindValley. I have been deeply influenced by MindValley and what it has attempted to accomplish in terms of awareness of the mind, body and soul.
This book is a brilliant, simple yet powerful rendition of Vishen's approach towards an extraordinary life, one he claims ANYONE can live.

Must read. For just the sheer power of its potential impact.

QUOTES TO SHARE

What the world says will affect you, if you somewhere believe it to be true.

Strange how we give birth to kids. And then kill their curiosity!

It takes courage to choose a hard path. It takes even more courage to change that path, if it doesn't work.

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION

Do you meditate?

  1. Yes, regularly.
  2. No, tried - however, didn't work for me / gave up
  3. No, never tried it.

You can, of course, always write to me, by simply replying to this newsletter.

RESPONSES TO LAST WEEK'S QUESTION

Last week, I asked you all:

Which section would you DELETE from this newsletter, if you were forced to delete one?

I got a lot of "Please don't delete anything" responses - but I wanted a response to be able to improve the newsletter.

Here are the responses:

So here are the changes:
1. Pushed Podcast to the content shared section.
2. Trimmed Content shared section to just 3 pieces.
3. Limited quotes to 3 quotes.
4. Picture of the week remains, because it's new and I want to experiment with it.
5. Changed the order (brought this week's question upfront and last week responses later).

Yay! I personally like the changes. Let me know what you think!

I had to ask! When I met my current wife, Ruchi, at the age of 19 while in college, she was way out of my league! I was the super geeky and serious kid.I had strong notions about what is right and wrong.I was too uptight.I would even call myself sad at that point.Too serious. And took myself too seriously. She, on the other hand, was the Shahrukh Khan in everybody’s life.Happy and going with the flow :))Forever smiling.Everyone adored her.Her happiness made everyone else happy around her. We...

If it's just hard work, why wouldn't you do it? Our colony had the Tennis Singles Finals this morning. I lost. While I feel slightly bad about it, I am happy about 2 things: 1/ I didn't play it safe. I played aggressively and took my chances. It's another thing that most chances did not work out :)) But I tried! 2/ I know exactly where I went wrong and what I need to do to fix it. The distance between where I am and where I wish to be can be covered by hard work. You see, a lot of us are...

5 things I believed to be true when I was a kid; only to realize they are not! Money is finite. If one becomes rich, someone else becomes poor. I was convinced that there was only a limited amount of money in the world. And that the rich make money by taking it from someone else. Wealth is only distributed. Today, I know wealth can be created. By adding value. I shared an example of Maggi in my book, Make Epic Money. A pack of Maggi costs 10/20 rupees. But open it, cook it, add some veggies...
